Here's an except from the first draft of the book:
What happens with the charge when we don't presence the simultaneous spaciousness of objectivity? The charge builds momentum. So then, what is momentum? It's emotion. So emotion is motion. And as the momentum of emotional charge escalates, the more it builds. And the more it builds, the more cathartic it becomes. Eventually sweeping us into the trauma vortex of hysteria, fear, shame, grief, hostility, etc. And before we know it, we are overwhelmed. So this is what can happen if we focus too much on the body. We can get stuck in the loop by isolating and merging with the sensation so much that we end up creating even more separation. And the more separation we create the scarier it gets, and round and round we go. We are getting more of what we are creating in the guise of believing we are doing the opposite!
